Description

Steampunk fish, earthworm, or dragonfly lays on a domino which has been treated with different medium and techniques.  Domino measures 1″ wide, 2″ long, and 3/8″ thick and hangs from 26″ of bronze colored chain.

About the collection: A staple in many Puerto Rican homes is a set of dominoes.  During a game of dominoes the word “capicú” (which comes from the catalan “capicúa” which means “head or tail”) may be yelled out when the winning piece may be played at either end of the domino layout.  Capicúúú (extended in the same way some Puerto Ricans extend it in the thrill of winning) came about when it was noticed that a piece was missing from a set.  Not wanting the remaining pieces to be thrown away, these became a new canvas to create on.
